About Me
I'm a second-generation Vietnamese American. My parents escaped the Vietnam War with hope in the American Dream, and their drive carried them from rural villages to becoming some of the early members of IBM in my hometown of San Jose.
I honor their story by telling stories of my own. Each project starts with a problem, is shaped by research, and is resolved through design. I've spent most of my career at start-ups, where I learned to connect business goals with what people actually need.
And when that connection is right, people barely notice it. That's what I believe great design is: quiet. It takes a lot of thought to imagine and build, but to the person using it, it should take almost none. It simply makes sense. My designs are quiet on purpose, so their impact can be loud and lasting.
